Re: Anyone fished Findlay Creek?
Haven't fished Findlay Creek (or Poole or Shields creeks) for 15+ years, but when I did it was the section between Blais Road and Hawthorne Road. Your best bet would be to email one of the Kemptville District MNR Fish & Wildlife Technical Specialists (http://www.infogo.gov.on.ca/infogo/#orgProf...

Re: Anyone fished Findlay Creek?
Tried it a couple of weeks ago beside the fields beside blais road, saw a dead sucker and caught some shiners, nothing too special although it looked like parts of the creek were suitable for browns. Curious about the section between blais and hawthorne but not sure if it's worth the effort to walk....

Re: eating downtown fish
I believe the ontario ministry of environment released an interactive map/rating guideline thing for eating fish in different areas of ontario, should be on their site somewhere. As for myself I would recommend eating anything in the warmers months in that area atleast, i personally don't know if i'...

Re: beaver dams
I've tried the clyde once right by joe's lake and caught bass, panfish and fallfish, i've read that the browns are put in near lavant and the rainbows are put in the south clyde brank, have never explored those parts myself so I don't know how much of the stretches of inhabital water for the trout ar...

Cool was this in Ontario?[/quote]
Actually it was in the Eastern Townships, a tributary stream to the Massawippi River outside of Sherbrooke. Little gem of a stream I found while going to school there.

Minnows or worms on a jigging rod and a minnow swimming 6 inches beneath a spoon on a trailer hook or just a typical jig. dont fish deeper then 10ft stay relatively close to shore maybe setting a deadstick at 5-6 feet and jig 7-10 in the middle of the column (ideally find the dropoff), thats the bes...

Re: Tiger trout Ice fishing
Caught and released what I firmly believe to be a wild juvenile tiger trout. I say this because it had the tiger like markings on it instead of bars or spots which typical brown, brookie or rainbow juvi's will have. I'm an avid creek fisherman and have caught all three species at different life stag...

Ice Fishing Fergusons Lake? (Greater Madawaska)
Was wondering if anyone knows if there is good or any access to Fergusons lake in the winter, was thinking of parking on the road or at the campground depending on what is plowed and walking on the lake from there.
