Quinte Jan 23rd report - huffs area
Fished huffs today 6-11:30. Ice is not good, 4" of soft crappy ice. Spud went through in 2 hits in some places. Lots of people out, hardly any spudding. Be careful out there guys! I didn't catch anything. 4 guys managed 2 dink walleye and a surprise whitefish!

awesome post with great pics and details. Congrats on the bigguns, too bad about the one that got away, but that might be the safest release of a big 'ski from a yak!

Re: Merland Park Lodge
I stayed there, seemed decent and clean. I can't remember the name of the cottage we stayed at, but it was one of the bigger cottages and I remember thinking the 'standard' ones looked really cramped. I could see it being a bit of a party there if it's busy, kind of a community type camp spot. I'd g...

Re: Tips and tricks:Cleaning lures after soft bait reaction.
I have seen some plastics melt into a gooey mess, not sure what causes it either. I have started keeping those little silica get packs you get with electronics, shoes, etc in my tackle trays and have seen a dramatic decrease in rusty hooks and gooey messes. I also try to not put lures away wet or wi...

Need some advice water in oil in lower unit - Evinrude 15hp
I have an older 15HP evinrude. Had the impeller replaced at Ward's marina in kingston 2 seasons back. Changed the lower unit oil at the end of that season and it was a bit milky...thought it might have been the little plastic seals in the fill/drain screws, so I put new ones in. Changed it this spri...
