Re: JP DeRose and John Anderson Seminars at SAIL

I saw the post and a friend that works at Sail reminded me to go last minute. I thanked him three times. JP and John are two class acts with limitless knowledge. Their presentations are pure gold.
Thanks for the post RJ.

Re: Lac Donaldson

I really have mixed emotions about this. You don't own the lake. im an ethical fisherman, and if you act like you own the lake, I wont be happy. What people dont know is that the trespassing laws are real lax in Qc. They can be summed up as follwing. If someone is trespassing, you can ask him to lea...

Re: Richmond fish and gun show.

What does 'same as last few years' mean to those of us who have never been to the show? I hate paying 8 bucks to get into a building to spend money. Seriously, if Sail or Baitcasters had a cover charge, would you ever go in? :D So bottom line from you folks who have attended in the past, are their ...

Whitefish on my bucket list...

Does anyone know a lake with whitefish within an hour of ottawa? Id like to add one of those finicky things to my list of species caught. Time to see what all the fuss is about!

Were the huts over 80-120 feet of water or are you talking about a shallow bay you are familiar with?

Re: Fishing both sides of the Ottawa with Ontario License?

Can you upgrade a conservation lic. to a sporting lic., and also is lac leamy in zone 25? Lac Leamy is not zone 25... I would not fish there with an Ontario Sportfishing Permit and I would not use live bait there in the winter with any permit.... http://www.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/publications/enligne/faun...

Re: Fishing both sides of the Ottawa with Ontario License?

Nope. Need a Quebec license to fish from shore on the Quebec side. I have had discussions with game wardens from both sides. The Ottawa is a boundary water, you can fish both sides with either license but follow the regulations of that province. There is a line right down the middle of the Ottawa s...

Re: What would you do?

I've had amazing days on my 12 foot inflatable with 30lb trolling motor....I bought a kayak because I was tired of inflating... Great thing about the john boat is that you can stand in it. Gotta love those flat bottoms. Trolling motor is great but you have to remember that you have to haul the batte...
