Was it like that when you first got it?
How long have you owned the reel? When was the last time you had the reel serviced?
I would start off by dropping a little in the spool and frame bearings and then clean the spool rim and oil that and the spool shaft lightly.

UPS.. sucks, ive order lots of reels from japan. If shipped EMS it's hit or miss. Sometimes they dont charge the duty, sometimes they do.

Thanks for the info guys!!! OK....I will be honest. I lubricate but never have flushed my bearings. What solvent would you recomend. Also my Hot Sauce oil and greese containers are almost empty. Any recomendations on prefered lube brands appreciated. Drop quamtum hot sauce and oil are the devil. us...

i do on all my reels because i can, i use mostly ZPI Ceramic, HH HD Air, and YT Fusion. Even flushing the OG bearings help allot, way too much grease in stock reels for up here. Prperlly cleaned and tuned reels make using lighter baits much easier and smotther casting. i bet 1/4 the local guys have ...

Started cleaning my own reels and was wondering what guys where putting on their drag washers ... I run shimano casting and spinning ..used pen synthetic grease last year and was less then impressed ..was wondering if their is anything local available ..any info would be helpfull cal's drag grease ...

i usually i use 1/16 oz tungsten weight pegged with an o-ring. i tried the Eco pro tungsten weights and they seem to work better but mroe expensive.
