Re: Constance Bay Derby!

613 ice fishing members rolled in hard.
It was a great event. And I had a blast. Fished with EagleEyesFlash and Otownyaker. And a pile of 613Ice fishing members. Lots of pike in our group.

Re: Petrie island village

But there you are not under Ontario ice hut regulations. They say when you can use the road. And when you can put your hit on. And when it comes off. I find it's more of a social club. Shirleys bay has public washroom. No restrictions. Except Ontario ice hut regs. Access is maintained by people who ...

Re: Shirleys bay Ice

As long as your not fishing in or near big drift. You won't get your feet wet. But before you drill a hole at your shacks jack them up. It will get slushy. There is a lot of snow drifted up around the shacks. And we will be lucky if this warm weather melts some of this snow off. I doubt it will affe...

Re: Tips\ suggestions on big pike

Under 12 feet of water. Find a good perch population. A weed line is nice. Big bait. Good strong line.

Re: thoughts on Eastons' creek

Lots of info online about the stocking program. loads of trout all around you. If you don't think zone 18 stocks enough. Maybe drive up to zone 15. Best stocking program I know of. Lots of lakes and streams with loads of fish. All around some even a stones throw from each other. Good luck in your se...

It's a cash derby with cash prizes dependent on attendance. There will also be prizes.
I will update this post as I find out new info. Thanks for posting this. It looks like it's going to be a good event.

Re: Shirleys bay Ice

If no one else try's to fix the launch. I'll go out Monday and knock it down. If anyone does decide to use a chainsaw make sure there is no bar oil in it. You don't want the oil getting in the water.

Re: Shirleys bay Ice

Big pressure crack at the launch. Runs right along shore. Me and serge the minnow man broke it down on one side so vehicles can pass.
Bite has been good for me. Under 10 feet has produced the most fish for me.

Re: Silver Lake Ice

Silver is totally fishable. 8-12 inches on the lake. The shore is soft in spots mostly around rocks. Me and about 15 others on it yesterday. Not one fish was pulled up that I seen.

Re: Shirleys bay Ice

Got just under 11 inches today. About 300 meters straight out from the launch.
My Photobucket is not working. But I did post a pic on the fish hawk Facebook page if someone wants to post it up.
