Olivier No need for experience at all, cant be easyer, Its like the lazyfishing way :shock: :lol: . Can used cheap med to stiff combo,,,i used a long none expensive rod frome ahimano,,,been a long time now,,andgood line. Some bait,,,cast and wait! Repeat,,,,until you get a cats, Or ling,or salamande...

I would like to go back there and try again for some cats this year. Great place to relax and enjoy small shore fishing We did many little group outhing back few years back caught many cats some up to the 10-13 pouds, Cant wait Wen the time comes i will post about it. Hope to see many of you guys do...

I did good on shrimps. Or shuncks of sardines. Baught frozen fish store. Some use hotdogs sausage Cats are not picky Not sure why not more people fish fir them,,,,,,,,,,,,there very good eathing, Love catfish fish soup. Showder, Onions,,potato cats etc mmmmmm. Not to big,,there to fat. Cats are fun ...

Esquif make some very cool square back canoe,,,,you can get them at sail. I love them,strong,,but heavyer.

Yep,,if you can try the ottawa river, Cant go wrong. Or south nation river in caselman area or along that area have good spot But the OR hard to beat, Unles you can hit the st lawrence for huges ones. Not that far. Square back are more stabile yes. But personaly still like more a reg canoe, Theres huge defernce in canoe stability, Some you can walk inside. Some have to sit in the bottom lol. Some have a great initial stability but not great second,,, Its all depend,,,,,the need and what you want to do with it....

Having them yak and canoes I still think canoe is more versatile More space,,for stuff,,,food,,camping equipement. Bring kids,,,friends...a dog and so on. There many used o es on kijiji or used ottawa or craiglist,,,just take your time. Not all canoe are yhe same. Those not have to be a square back,...

I was there at around 11 am. ,,,,to se becky masson. Canoeing in ghe pool she sure can paddle, But mabe i mist it but did not saw anything fishing!!!? A lot of paddle boards,,,few tents,,,etc,,,not a big show. Soon they will be the running and biking show,,,will be there once again. But fishing ,,,,...
