I went out at fathers point on Tuesday lost a walleye at the hole but found 5-6 inches of ice everywhere I drilled. Ventured out about 100 yds from shore. Heading back out tomorrow to get that eye thru the hole.

Yup exactly what cprince said, that's a great stretch in between main and the transit way. I've raised 3 muskies 30" plus and even had smallies eat my chrome shallow raider as well as pike! Great stretch for a kayak/canoe

Hey guys, with the musky opener a couple sleeps away I'm looking to upgrade my reel for my musky combo. These reels are in my price range, not looking to go much higher but looking for a good quality reel. If any one has any advice/experience with these reels to offer it would be greatly appreciated...

That seems to be the regular at Kars now. It's too bad it's a great spot but as Zippy put it "I can't stand the circus". I've been going to the other side of the river at Kars with no luck.
