That's not a Pike. It's a Muskie. Samething happpend to me last year when I fish for Bass in Ottawa River. Caught a bass and a Muskie ate the Bass when I reeled the bass in. My line was broken in first time but I landed the 2nd Muskie with my 10lb line. This guy was at least 3 feet.

My "biggest" bass

Went to Arnprior yesterday and fish under the dam. Used a 4 inch Rapala float. Suddenly I felt something so I set the hook. You know what I got after I reeled back? A 2 INCH smallmouth bass. This tiny guy was so aggressive!!!

Try Morris Island Conservation in daytime, just fish on the wood deck. It's very safe for your little one and there are so many actions (sunfish, bass) as well.

Too bad. Maybe you can put a notice there. If the bag was picked up by a local resident, you have good chance to get it back.

I use 50 lbs Powerpro before and switched to Trilene 10 lbs mono last year. I cast further with it and 10 lbs Trilene mono is more sensitive than Powerpro(50 lbs).
