Re: Barbecue Fishing

I was wondering this myself, and my search led me to see that you can bbq in any park, so long as you get a permit from the City of Ottawa (http://ottawa.ca/en/residents/parks-and ... ttawa-park)

I don't know where to get one yet, but I will.

Re: URBAN shore fishing

Shore fishing in the area is great - I have found some great spots along the Ottawa river and the Rideau in the downtown corridor for smallies - and I just ran into a guy at one of those spots saying he's caught over 30 muskie from shore in the same areas this year alone.

Shore fishing galore!

Re: SPL- Soft Plastic Lures

This thread has made me think a bit and I am now starting to work on a protein based senko that will degrade in water within a few days and also will be 100% environmentally friendly. Down side is they will spoil in a few weeks but I usually never have them last that long...lol. I am hoping to get ...

Re: Fishing the Jock

There are awesome spots all along it, from the rideau to Richmond. If you have a kayak, you'll find musky, pike, walleye, bass, etc. Better fishing in early season though.

Re: Stolen Lund 1675 CP Marine

Yes we seem to increase insurance costs all the time but when people try to rip off the insurance companies that is what we have to do to get that money back Theft is bad and wrong, but I don't exactly have any sympathy for insurance companies. You're talking about consistently the highest-profit c...

Re: SPL- Soft Plastic Lures

Plastics pollution in waterways is epidemic - Johnson and Johnson, etc will be voluntarily removing plastic "microbeads" from bodywash, toothpaste, etc as they are causing pollution as well. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/plastic-microbeads-polluting-st-lawrence-river-mcgill-resear...

Re: Fishing the Jock

They closer to Richmond you get, the safer they are to eat on the Jock. Even so, don't make a meal of them every day. There are quite a few hot spots along the Jock between richmond and barrhaven

No such thing as privacy when you're in public I'm afraid.
Drone tech is very cool, I've considered building one from scratch for myself. And a photographer friend has thought about getting one to do shots of buildings for new condos, etc.

Re: Mystery Tackle Box

I should also say that I am in no way affiliated with Mystery Tackle Box or anything - I just saw some that other anglers were posting last year and that's what let me trust I wasn't going to get ripped off, and I had an idea of what's in them. Just paying that sentiment forward.
