I use Flouro for some applications, only as a leader with braid (spinning) or spooled directly on a flipping stick. I find it has a few more uses other than invisibility. It definitely acts as a shock absorber on your line, you don't really notice it at first, but when you have used it for a while a...

I think the higher your octane the hotter the cylinder, I may be wrong, but I know unless you modify your engine you should run low octane gas. I use OMC engine tuner to help clean my engine and it works great. I don't think you would want to add any additives unless they are made specifically for y...

I have used P-Line and Yo-Zuri Hybrid for 2 years now and have absolutely no complaints it si very easy to work with and is extremely reliable. Before that I always used Berkely Big Game and never had a problem with it either. As far as braid is concerned I use Western Filament 50# TUF line for flip...

I use Group 31 Power Source batteries in my boat. My first pair lasted 3 years, and I replaced them last year. I use my Maxxum alot each season between Club tournies, CFT and anything else I can fish and if I couldn't get this brand I would try Minn Kota. I have heard a lot about those AGM batteries...

It's kinda like a golf swing. If you watch a golfer he swings in one fluid motion. If he stops his swing when his club reaches the top of the swing over his head he loses a ton of momentum. His club flexes just like a fishing rod. When you really load up a casting rod with an overhand cast, and do i...

The fish ranged in size from 17 to 22 inches. The biggest of the weekend was pushing 4 pounds. We got them mostly at the west end of the lake in about 9 to 13 feet of water at dusk and into the night. During the day the guys were getting them on FuzzEGrubs in about 20 feet of water along the South s...

Also if you are just starting out with a baitcaster, when you bring your rod back over your head in an overhand cast, stop it before you bring it forward. This will cut down on the amount your rod is loaded up with excess energy, therefore decreasing the chance of you getting an overrun right at the...

I bought a Berkely Series One 4 years ago and broke it after a couple of weeks, sent it back and broke the replacment they sent me as well. They replaced it and I have had no problems since. One thing about broken rods is they really can tell on some rods if it has been broken and it is not a defect...

Well we had a great time up on Lake Clear this weekend. Thanks for all the great advice. We caught a bunch, about half of what we caught were under the slot, but had a ball none the less.

I was wondering what kind of depths are most people fishing this time of year and do the waleye relate more to rocks, weed, shoreline, open water, suspended etc.? Being primarily a bass guy and having such a fussy walleye fishery on the BOQ this is all pretty new to me.

Thanks for the info, I'm probably going to do a bit of trolling but will be jigging for the most part. Being from Belleville & the BOQ I get tired of trolling very easy!!! Thanks again.

Lake Clear

Hi everyone, I am going to be fishing at Lake Clear this weekend and as I have never seen it before I was wondering if I could get a few tips for walleye and pike.

Thanks
