Re: Canoe fishing

I bought my drift sock at Lebaron's. It is the smallest size, and I think it was around $40. Like I said, I find it really indispensable when fishing in wind or waves. Whenever we cruise over a school of fish, or some particularly fishy looking structure, we simply deploy the sock and give it a more...

Re: Canoe fishing

Hi - I've been fishing for a few years now from a canoe, with varying degrees of success. But whether I catch fish or not, its always great to get out for a paddle. I bought a 16' cedar strip prospector off a guy a couple of years ago who built it, and it is a beautiful boat and handles really well....

Re: Perch fishing in Shirleys bay, what a surprise.

Hi - I had a Garmin 60 CX GPS until I recently found the batteries were left in it over the winter and leaked  . I'm looking to replace it with a used GPS, preferably with Navionics or some other lake/river map software. Anyone out there have anything they'd be willing to sell for a reasonable...

Re: Quite the ice lounge

Hats off to the guy who built it. Great attention to detail and storage areas which can make a hut feel much more spacious. I'd love to build one myself, but sadly I don't think my little honda would be able to drag it out onto the ice.

Re: PB Ling!!!

I agree about the ling - I caught my first one a couple of weeks ago, and it is a delicious fish. I hope to catch a few more this year.

Re: No need for big boat for musky fishing

Good video. I've never tried to target muskie from my canoe, but maybe its worth a try.
