Re: Going Fishing in New Brunswick (First time in the Atlant
I'll be heading to New Brunswick (Bathurst) for the August long weekend and the following week. Two years ago we had some fun with stripers right on the beach but we only had 6' rods so getting bait out past breakers was challenging except under really calm conditions. I want to pick up a surf rod/r...

James Island on the Rideau
Hey Folks, I'm heading out to try around James Island on the Rideau this Saturday. I'm doing some scouting trying to find a decent place to bring 15-20 cub scouts for an afternoon of fishing later in February, and thought that perhaps this might do the trick. It's gotten dropped, rained on, completely submerged, with no issues, and it's got a timer for 10 sec delay to g...

Re: Ice Report for Walleye Bay at Petrie Isl.
Was out Friday evening and early Monday morning at Petrie. Solid 12" of ice. 9 walleye, 4 sauger, 12 perch. 11' water. Majority of fish on a small little cleo tipped with minnow head. Largest walleye was just shy of 19" on a 1/16 ounce jig tipped with a small white Gulp twister tail. Live ...

Re: Sunday ice fishing?
Was thinking of walking out onto Constance Bay with the kids on Sunday...I would think there would be enough ice out there now?
