Anyone ever try launching their boat and then parking on the street, avoiding the necessity to buy a pass? Not necessarily advocating anyone do this to avoid the fees, I don't mind paying to play for a decent and well-kept launch, but food for thought.

Also wondering if it's safe to consume fish here ... I've heard of great fishing but is this lake catch and release only?

Afternoon all, First time poster here, thought I would throw this up since I can't positively ID this species ... Found dead floating by our dock in the Rideau Lakes area. We're on a small lake that drains into the Big Rideau! Ideas? Mudminnow? Longperch? Known species in the lake are panfish - blue...
