Yeah I have caught a couple walleye in the Canal as well this year. Seems to be a good year for it too.

I caught one on a chartreuse chatterbait and the other on a white 8-10 foot jerkbait

A carp seems like huge meal for a musky. Perhaps they feed on young carp. It's an interesting thought to say the least.

Have not traditionally been out a lot for pike early in the season, but the past couple of weeks I have been surprised at not catching a few more of them. Made 3 treks in the past 2 weeks and while I've caught a couple, they have been very scattered and on widely divergent types of structure / cove...

Great pike fishing. I wouldn't have thought to use a swim jig for pike.
