Re: Salmon Fishing Questions
Will give this a try, should I stay out of the rivers then?CBB wrote:Cleo's or other heavy casting spoons at the mouth of the rivers. They are not feeding but will hit out of reaction or you line them as they swim with their mouth open and lure will end up being pulled to their mouth.

Salmon Fishing - Updated W/ Pics
This weekend I'm heading out to go salmon fishing for the first time ever, I'm used to being just a pike/musky or bass fisherman so salmon is pretty new to me, I was just wondering if any experts here had tips on what baits/lures to use, any particular rig methods, or anything that can help me catch...

Re: Shore Fishing Walleye on the St. Lawrence?
If you can handle the walk (a bit treacherous) try down at the harbour. Go out along the rocks all the way to the lighthouse. Jig and minnow would work as well as deep divers. Keep at it. Just because they're not there today doesn't mean they won't be there tonight or tomorrow. Cardinal and Brockvi...

Thanks!steve_rauch wrote:you may want to make the 10 minute drive down to cardinal... drive behind the legion and follow the little road to the end.. you can fish all kinds of places from shore there or go down the galop canal road and you will find more places there too
you will have much better luck there

Shore Fishing Walleye on the St. Lawrence?
Soo, I'm not here to steal anyone's honey hole, or to ask for all your spots, but I was just wondering any areas in prescott area that are decent for walleye from the shore, also what type of bait would work best? I've only ever jigged for walleye a few times, so shore fishing is new to me. Thanks i...

Re: Rideau river biting is slow...
I was out on the Rideau(Near Kemptville) a few times last week with a buddy of mine, We hooked into a few small pike each and he caught some nice sized largemouths, but we're still looking for the big ones! We've just been fishing around the edge of the weeds with spinnerbaits in water ranging from ...

Re: Looking For Gar Fishing Locations- Ottawa Area
Try a minnow or chunk of cut bait under 6 inches under a bobber. The enticement bite seems to work. Small hooks think (#8 and #10 trebbles) work best. I have also had good luck adding a stinger hook (caught one on the stinger this weekend). I have been having a good time with Gar this year. Watchin...
