Underwater Cameras?
Hey guys just wondering who uses an underwater camera for ice fishing and if they like them etc. I’m thinking of buying one but not sure just yet. I have a Marcum M5 already but thought it would be neat to have a camera. I think I’ve read that the water needs to be clear but what about depth images?...

Re: Ice fishing pop up tents - what’s your preference
I have an Eskimo 949I and really like it. I think insulated is the way to go to reduce condensation inside.
The 949I is I believe a 4 man hut but 3 would be starting to get tight.
2 people with a heater, a couple holes inside and all your gear is perfect.

Re: Shirleys Bay vehicle broken into
Freakin low lifes. I had my truck broken into in my driveway years ago and stole a bunch of hunting gear. Still to this day I am on the lookout for my stuff. Sorry to hear.

Cold day
Was out at Loughborough today. Headed out to 65' as the ice was about 5". Marked a couple but couldn't get anything to commit Couple guys out around the 80' area and manage a few earlier in the day. They were on 4" and not far from open water. Too close for my comfort. It's bad enough when...

Re: Price of minnows?
Well maybe it's ballpark average. Makes me feel a bit better but it's still a lot of coin. I try to support the local guys and usually buy a bit of tackle while there. But don't put the boots me...

Price of minnows?
Just wondering what everyone is paying for minnows these days? I picked up 2 dozen Dace for 10 bucks per dozen. Sounded darn high. Would have preferred shiners but they didn’t offer it. Was also told they had sucker minnows for 15 bucks per dozen. Whaaaaaaaat???? Where’s the shiners?? Are they tough...

Ice chippers /chisels
Hey guys just wondering what everyone is using? I've never bothered to use one as I don't venture off the path but thinking it might be good to have. Might be nice to have to chip away when the holes freeze over rather than using my bent up skimmer. What about the shorter chisels? Or just a reason t...

Re: 2019 Ice season, Shirley's bay
Thanks for the update 613 and thanks CCLad for putting things in motion. The few times I have been out last season, I haven't had much luck out at Shirley's but will be back on the ice forsure.
Fyi I saw a couple guys out on Petrie in the first bay while passing by on the 174.

Any walleye lake suggestions?
Anyone have suggestions for some decent walleye fishing? Thinking of the Mississip but didn't have great success earlier this year. Except for some perch action. Don't want to go to the Madawaska for fear of getting vandalized.

Re: Where to buy NK lures around Ottawa?
Got them in less than 2 days from PROTACKLE in Belleville. I'm just starting to fill up with tackle for salmon and hope the NK's are a good start.
