He meant, Need to kill all those "cormorants".
They have killed several trees on the islands in Lake Clear.

Re: Opinions on boats wanted..
I've fished out of a lot of boats and I only own a small jon boat for trapping and hunting now. If I was to get back into the boat ownership game and fish seriously again, then without a doubt I'd get a big Lund liller set up and put a casting deck in it. Simplisity and low maitenence would be the ...

Re: Charleston Lake
We will all be looking forward to your report. I have fished this lake many times for Lake Trout. I have only caught LT and small mouth bass. I think that there would be some good pike in the lake. I went kayak fishing over the weekend on Lake Clear and caught a couple of bass. It is harder to fish ...

Re: Opinions on boats wanted..
Ranger is a great bass boat. It has the highest resale value. I am surprised that you are looking at a bass boat. What lakes do you fish? The better boat for Eastern Ontario is a v-bottom. This would lead me down the Lund, ALumacraft, or Princecraft road. Bass boat are much better on shallow water. ...

Re: Can't find Ottawa area crappie
I haven't fished crappie in years. However, we used to jig minnows near fallen trees. We would use a hook and split shot and vertical jig right around trees in the water. That is how I would start out and go from there. I would think you would get a few bass this way as well. Let us know if you find...

Re: All purpose battery?
I have a 20 hp Nissan and a 36 thrust trolling motor and hummingbird and just use one battery. The motor charges the battery and I am good for two weeks. I would like to get a solar panel charger for it.

Re: Swimbait Grease
That is a fine catch.
I have been looking at those swim baits. They come in 6.5 and 8 inch. Top hook and bottom hook. Baby bass or Clear Lake Hitch look like some good colors. Has anyone had good luck with these swimbaits?
