Thought i would save people a trip out to Shirley's to look at ice conditions. Below is a picture i took on my lunch break; we are getting there!!

hoping to get out to shirley's on saturday. Does anyone know how the ice is holding up with all this warm weather??

Didn't measure the length of perch, however it weighed over 1/2 pound. Thoose perch sure are tasty little buggers lol!!!!

A couple of the lads from the HogLog Fishing Club fished the Long Island lock close to manotick on Saturday. The ice was about 8" thick and there were about 4 other huts. The fishing was slow but the boys weren't skunked catching with a few perch each. See below a few funny pics for an overall ...

Over the past two years I have kept several jumbo perch from Shirley's.... No worms just delicious lol!

Great news that the pike bite is on. I will most likely head out to Shirley's on sat, were your minnows dead or alive?
