Re: Taking the train

Is this the train that let's you off for Stop 88 or is it Lodge 88, right off the rail line. I remember seeing a fishing show in the past, which did a show out of this Lake and Lodge. Can't remember what show it was but was a Canadian show, which cuts it down to about 4 at the most. Probably many ot...

Fish-Hawk Get-together March 7th Tailgators

What sayist all you Fish-Hawk talkers? Is it time for another G2G? I know Ice season is carefully coming to a close, dreaded by some, worshipped by others. Come one, come all. Let the feelings or intentions of showing up be knownst. If there's enough interest will plan on wing ding somewhere around ...

Re: WFN.....What happened??

Wallyboss, I don't think you will find anything, or hear anything. I think maybe Canadian content had slipped below a certain percentage.
Thanks for looking into it. Greatly appreciated.

Re: WFN.....What happened??

If you go to the WFN website and look at the carriers of WFN for the Ottawa area, there is NO mention or showing of Rogers at all. There are many other carriers of WFN but not Rogers. I figure there mustn't be enough interest for Rogers to carry it. I wonder how all the other fishing dudes who watch...

WFN.....What happened??

Was watching WFN last night everything was good. Tried to get it back on this afternoon, Roger's is not carrying it anymore. Guess I'll spend more time watching the Blue Jays now.

Re: Status of Mississippi lake town launch

The launch is useable but be careful of the extending wing still under water. It will knock a prop pretty good. last 2 days has been very windy, causing some problems trying to get off the water. Water is still up to the top of the launch ramp.

Re: Team Superdad Sweeps Walleye World Junior Division

Congrats on a very successful Walleye World Derby.
Having fun with the Grand kids is what this life is all about.
You're lucky to have everyone on board on these fishing outings.
Enjoy the upcoming fishing season.

Re: Safety this weekend Pike & Wally opener.

I've checked out over a dozen launches in the area. There isn't a launch that I would personally use. Water levels are so high, current is so swift, and not to mention debris floating down the rivers. Then you have to try and find fish this weekend, water temps in mid to high 40's*F. Is the spawn ov...

Safety this weekend Pike & Wally opener.

Everybody be safe this weekend, water temps are still in the mid to high 40*sF, high water levels, lots of floating debris,( Logs, boards, docks tree branches.) If many of you are not aware, most of the launches are flooded out and there is a significant change in current flow. I don't want to read ...

Re: Favorite Walleye Lure

I've got a couple I'll share with you. Like to fish a Shakey head jig with a Reaction Innovations l'll Skinny Dipper bait hooked on. Secondly go back to my Jerk baits any of which imitate local waters bait fish, could be a Live target Perch shallow diver, Lucky Craft pointer, or the Dowzvido jerk ba...

Re: Does Baitcloud work?

Is this the same idea as dropping an Alka Seltzer pill into a tube while tube fishing?
The extra bubbles attract with some fizzing noise. Alka Seltzer is cheaper in my opinion.
