Re: A great, low visibility braid?
IMO low visibility and braid are not something that go hand in hand. Braid is great but low vis is not one of its strong suits. If you want to fish braid, tie on a fluorocarbon leader, you get the best of both worlds. I'm a big fan of Power Pro when braid is needed.

Re: Swim Baits
lots of options out there for soft body swimbaits. The Keitech Swing Impact Fat is at the top of my list, for what your looking to do a wide gap swimbait hook with a screw lock will serve you best. I really like the 4/0 1/8oz Owner Beast hook, the centering pin makes rigging a bait straight effortle...

What types of swimbaits are you looking at fishing? Soft body, hard body, paddle tails?

The only place you'll find Zoom product in the Ottawa area is Paddletales tackle, he has a great selection.

Re: Shadalicious Swimbaits - The Love-Hate Relationship
Surprised how many people still use Skinny Dippers, I gave up on them because I got tired of boiling tails, they are always bent in the packaging they use. Now I rotate between Reins,Keitech and Bass Magent I've never even noticed! I'm kind of OCD when it comes to swimbaits, if they aren't perfectl...

Re: Drop shot rods
Rodbreaker and Drake, I use a Champion 702SF for dropshotting. This rod isn't specified for it but works very well within its price point. Re: Drop shot rods
You don't nessicarly need a technique specific drop shot rod to be successful. Any medium fast action rod will get it done, but ideally you want something 6'8"-7'2" medium power xfast.
