Re: Deer scent
Shot in the dark here, but what about using other animal urines, glands for trapping? I`m not familiar with the Ontario regulations. My grandfather used to make some sort of Muskrat love juice out of parts of a muskrat back in the day here in Qc. I have used fresh tarsals before and man, they seem t...

Re: Seeking shotgun advice
I`d love a Benelli. Only thing holding me back is the cost of an extra barrel. I checked a couple of years ago and they were running in the 400$ range. For that price, I was better off spending a couple hundred bucks extra and getting a combo gun. However, there`s a strong chance that a new Benelli ...

Re: Seeking shotgun advice
Give the Mossberg 535 a look. Pretty sure you can get the 3 barrel option for it. A few local stores have them. I`ve only owned Mossberg 12 GA`s and I`ve never had any issues with them. Also, it`s within the price range of the others mentioned.

Re: Cheap idea for goose floaters, tell me what you think!
UPDATE!!! Tried out the pipe insulation idea. Went to CT, bout some eye bolts, pipe insulation and gorilla glue. Glued on the pipe insulation, drilled a small hole in the back, put the eye bolt through, attached some left over decoy cord and a spare weight I had. I let the glue cure for a few hours ...

Cheap idea for goose floaters, tell me what you think!
So, novice is putting it lightly when it comes to describing my waterfowl hunting experience. I shot 2 nice black ducks a couple of years ago, and that`s been it. Due to different circumstances, I never had time to hunt. Anyways, I was thinking about how to rig up some goose floaters on the cheap. I...

Re: Kazabazua, Gracefield, Wakefield, Bouchetta... Sturgeon.
Early in the season, the bridge near Kazabazua is decent. I assume you`re talking about the bridge right on the river, that opens into a large bay? One of my friends caught a 71 inch sturgeon there a little over 10 years ago. I have caught numerous fish there as well, but like said, usually around t...

Re: Battery hunt camp question
Again, thanks for all the info guys. Much appreciated.
I think he`s going to try the CPAP with a marine battery and inverter before we head up there to see how it works. I`ll post results as they become available.

Battery hunt camp question
Going hunting at an outfitter with my dad and a couple of buddies for moose this fall here in Qc.
My dad has a CPAP machine ( he has apnea ), Anyways, we`re staying at an outpost camp with now power.
Question is, how would I go about rigging up say a marine battery and stuff to power this?

Satellite radio on a boat??
Quick question, Anyone have satellite radio on their boat?
Peace and serenity are nice, but sometimes some good tunes are just as good.
Anyone have experience with them in terms of coverage zones/outages? I`m pretty green to the whole concept.

Building a casting deck for a 14 FT aluminum boat?
Subject line says it all. Been thinking about doing this for a while. Has anyone ever done something like this? It`s an older Springbok 14 footer. 3 bench seats. I was thinking of turning from the mid seat up to the bow into a casting deck and adding a pedestel with a seat. If anyone has any experie...

Re: QC Resident Fishing Permit Just Went Up By Almost 50%
Apparently, in zone 10, 14 Wardens retired or left in 2014/2015, there wasn`t enough money to replace them. I also read that this increase on hunting and fishing licenses will add 5 million and change into the coffers. I don`t mind an increase, but there has to be some incentives attached. Hunting s...
