From Scruro "So I take it that being in a boat is dangerous during a lightening storm. Funny you never here of fishermen dying in their boat from a strike" Read an article once on this. Some guys were fishing norther Ontario and stayed out on the water too long when a storm rolled in. They...

Went up to visit my sister and family who were camping somewhere around Barrie years back. There were some god-awful thunder storms on the way up. The weather cleared for a bit but turned bad and forced us into the kitchen tent. My brother-in-law, his neighbour and I were standing there drinking a b...

Trade for a case of beer

Anyone need parts for a 40HP Merc Thunder(something) 1974. Bottom end, electric start, iginition is all good. Probably could be fixed, but is a good source of parts for someone who knows what they are doing. It was an outstanding motor until its death rattle two weeks ago. A case of Blue Light and i...

Scuro. You really got my interest up on that report. My brother-in-law lives on Salt Spring and I thought they only had an over fished trout lake to talk about. Where abouts did you fish? I'm not much of a tourist and walking around hippy town doesn't turn me on. Now, knowing there is good fishing w...

Heard that from studying the clethrum they've noticed a faster growth rate among muskies during each of the recent "warm years" that we've begun to experience. If that's the case, as a result of global warming we should see bigger muskie, and I would suspect bass, in the coming years. See....

Motor Needed

My old 1974 40HP Merc has gone on to fishing heaven. With its last gasp it said it wanted to be reincarnated as a Honda. Anyway, I'm looking for an older 35 to 40 HP motor, tiller operated, for out at the cottage. Nothing fancy, just a good working motor. If anyone has one or knows where to point me...

Unless you're a collector, you might save yourself alot of grief and use it as an anchor.

When you see something like this that's so assinine, you don't know what to do because the logical person in you can't believe someone would actually do this. I believe that so far you've done all the right things. In the event that this guy might worm his way out of the legal charges, is he a spons...

For years, before they had all these utility vehicle batteries (i.e. snowmobile, ATV, lawnmower, etc) I used to use a small motorcycle battery tucked under the seat in my 12ft. It was cheap, easy to handle and store and never gave up on me .

I've also had a poor hookup ratio with the "body" type frog and treble set up. I now primarily use the Lucky Strike frog and have had a way better hook up ratio. It has the single upwards turned hook and I hang a trailer off that. White and bubble gum pink have been deadly. I think the hol...

Bass Assassin. Without having to buy a bunch of muskie tackle, I'd suggest you use your stiffest bass flippin rod around 7'. Use minimum 60lb power pro along with a 60 to 90lb leader. The reason your lure, and I'm guessing your using a larger bass spinner bait, is popping out of the water, is becaus...
