No they are not. Kids are entitled to their own limit as they are, as stated above, license holders by the fact that they are under 18.

Still Whacking Weed Walleye

The last week has been spectacular on the Ottawa. The weed walleye bite is red hot and our guests are landing multiple 20'' + fish daily, all out of 4 to 5 feet of water. Many of these were released as we're generally getting plenty of smaller ones and pike for shore lunch. Sebastien got the ball ro...

A Musky Detour on a Walleye Trip

Steve and his Daughter Allison wanted to catch dinner, but it was the musky opener after all, we had to get the big sticks out at one point. With a meal in the well, we decided to give a weedline a run. Ten minutes into trolling Steve calls :"I'm snagged on something". 45" muskies do ...

Re: Sticky Skirts - How To Stop It?

On spinnerbaits? I use a spinnerbait storage box and never had that problem. My frog bag on the other had to be scrapped when I found all the legs on the frogs melted.

Re: ORGF Father's Day Special

No rest for the wicked eh Yannick. That's a full day. Guiding is a pleasantly exhausting way to make a living. This time of year, I tell the wife: ''I can be a good fishing guide, a good Dad and a good husband, pick 2. " We're booked solid for Father's Day. Hopefully the weather holds us, we'v...

Report it to MNR. They are tracking them. Kirby Punt at the MNR is the guy in charge of that project.

Re: Since Shallow Walleye are Trending

I think you have to determine the meaning of Dandy. If it's over 50cm. it's only a picture fish. If it's between 40-50 cm it could very well be a dinner fish. If it's under 40 cm it's a deformed fish. ( head to close to tail) You're off to a great start to the season, keep 'em coming. All we're all...

I personally would not consider those dandies, but very nice walleye none the less.
Thanks Luke. I suppose "dandy" is a relative term. I didn't realize we had such a literal administrator. lol

Some dandys from our last couple guide trips on the Ottawa. All caught mid-day in less than 4'. http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/x409/fisherguy33/Camera/1464996299101_zpsv6fhdvfx.jpg http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/x409/fisherguy33/Camera/1464996360975_zpswgoyhuyd.jpg http://i1180.photobucket...

ORGF Opening Weekend Report

We spent 95% of our opening weekend fishing in 5' or less and our guests were rewarded handsomely. Between Saturday and Monday I spent 32 hours guiding and a few more scouting. Opening weekend started with an eventful scouting mission with the wife and kids Friday after dinner. My little guy learned...
