Yes you can spend countless dollars on fishing gear....I would suggest going out a few times to figure out if ice fishing is your thing before you fork out a ton of cash.

they may have found a better feeding area and now have a different fly path. I find ths time of year there are ups and downs between birds leaving and new migraters coming in. Its a good thing, I love when new birds come in, they have no idea that dark blob in the marsh is not supposed to be there. ...

This is true, he is off of division street on North Shore road, just past the loughborough lake bridge. But Loughborough lake marina is a separate place, its an actual marina.

ASK,
In my opinion, just my opinion, I would suggest looking at something that will chamber 3.5 inch shells. You may not need it but if you have it then you have it in case you want to use it. Not so much with ducks but with geese I find the 3.5 inch shells help.
