Re: Broadheads??

Sounds like the deer are out.
In my area the archery season opens Oct 1. I sure am looking forward to putting some time in the woods. So far, only Does on the trail cams, and no Doe Tag. Might have to wait for the rut.
Good luck.

Re: Love this time of Year!

Beauty fish! For sure the best time of year. I experience the same frustrations as you almost daily. I have given up trying to figure people out. I have had pleasure boaters go between me and a weedline marked by a channel buoy 30 feet away when the channel is over 200 feet wide. Smiling and waiving...

Re: Fall Lakers - Opeongo Lake

I have never fished Opeongo, but I frequent the northern part of the park quite often. Was there just last weekend and the lakers were still down 35-55 feet. All their guts were full of perch minnows. I guess if you can find the bait, you'll find the fish. We still used steel or lead core line but w...

Re: Been a long time coming!!

Fantastic.
I seem to only manage a few geese a year. I mainly hunt over water and they seem to come down just after dark

Looks alot like a hybrid. But without checking the pores or cheek scales, it would be inconclusive. So I wouldn't say definitely... :D

Re: Cool markings

I have caught a few like that on the Rideau system. I always considered them a Tiger Musky, or natural cross between pike and musky.
Cool looking fish for sure.

Re: Fish Ingesting Hard Cranks

Nice fish..... But why wear a UV buff and sleeves, yet leave that forehead exposed:-) J.K. I get it, chances are that photo was while under way, dont wanna lose the lid...but I have to admit, usually those facemasks are accompanied by a TapOut shirt, or some sort of Ed Hardy clothing. No judging... ...

Re: Laker time of day

I fish them all times of day. If it's really windy, I don't bother in the eve, just never had luck with that scenario. But in the morning I find sometimes the best time is when the wind kicks into high gear... Many times between 1030 & noon. Been late for lunch many times because the fish just s...

Re: Big Game Draw

No tag for 63a. Lots of deer on the trail cams, and sides of roads and fields. I definitely would not say poor deer herd. Moderate to good, not quite road hazard deer. If I would have gotten a doe tag, I would have used it first chance. I hunt for meat, not for conservation. But I didn't, so I will ...
