Re: Walleye & Pike Opener - Quality, but not quantity!
Well done! I'd also take quality over quantity any day of the week. And good on ya for getting out bright and early...I didn't get on the water until mid-afternoon and was battling gnarly winds and rain...

Minn Kota quick release bracket
Hoping to get some feedback/advice on quick release brackets for my Minn Kota Terrova 80lb 60 inch shaft. I'm mainly hoping to be able to have my Minn Kota locked/secured to my boat (I don't really see myself removing the motor very often, I just don't want my Minn Kota/iPilot to get stolen). I've b...

Re: A Speckled Nip Rippin' Report
Unbelievable trip...I'm jealous! Those specks are just absolute beauties. I gotta ask though...when I read "instant gcs of 3" I was left wondering...medic, rn or physician?

Re: Clyde River
If you dont mind crossing the border then head south into upper NY state...lots of places to fly fish for trout. Also, if you are ever up near tremblant then try the Diablo river. There's a fly fishing only stretch managed by a club (catch and release).

Re: Hard times on the water
As other people have posted, it's always a good idea to vary it up and try new presentations. That being said, whenever I'm having a slow day I will typically switch to my confidence bait - a 5 inch yamamoto senko worm wacky rigged (weightless). ive had the most success with pumpkinseed colour. Cast...

Re: Canoe lake info?
Hey thanks, ill check out the southern end of the lake for a launch. Bis- this canoe lake is on the northern edge of frontenac park (just outside the park). Ive heard its a nice lake with very little boat traffic. No idea about the state of the lake trout fishery, but I'll probably still check it ou...

Re: Summertime Laker Jigging
I had success jigging for Lakers last week on the big rideau. Used jigging spoons. Use braid with fluorocarbon leader. I've also had success with lead core trolling spoons or rapalas. Let me know how it goes.

Re: Kingston ontario trout help
If the bows aren't interested in a big streamer at Bing, switch to a spinning setup with a small gang troll, 18 inch fluorocarbon leader and worm on the end (or a big wooly bugger).

Re: Kingston ontario trout help
A very convenient option would be bing retreat. You can even rent a small tinner with an electric motor. You can troll with a big streamer with sinking line for some stocked bows

Re: Qubec fishing license
.. It's around 75 dollars for the year. I also know they do one day passes but I don't remember how much they were. Call any Canadian tire in gatineau and they'll give you exact prices
