BTW the fishing area is limited to water, from Horseshoe Bay too Sand Point in Constance Bay (The Point).

What time does it open?

There are some underwater springs on Little Round that affect the ice. Found some by the north shore.

Silver is a funny lake. I have been skunked there many more times that I have caught fish.

Dunrobin Meat and Groceries also sells live minnows.

As for salted ones, I got some salted alewives at a Russian Deli (Lamomka on Baxter Rd.) which are really great bait. In a pinch, you can eat 'em.

There were trucks pulling ice hut trailers onto Constance Bay today. So I gotta say there's some serious ice.
