His fishing skills and knowledge will be missed. So for the 2015 opener, two of the Three Amigos alon...

Re: Park La Verendrye......Dozois

WE fished there in lat 70's when there was a camp ground close to the dam, at first it was great, a generator made the power for the street lights and hot water in the bathrooms. The the Govt decided to diminish the camp ground amenities, so we lost the electricity and the light and the hot water. W...

Re: Going Fishing in New Brunswick (First time in the Atlant

If your are fishing in salt water, i don't believe you will require a license, Any where there is a pier on the bay of Fundy, there are sole and mackeral. If you are fishing fresh water, I would check the New Brunswick fishing regs on-line, I used to have a copy but after two years I tossed it. Any ...

RESULTS-10th Annual Live Release Fall Classic Walleye Derby

Firstly, let me offer thanks on behalf of all the fishers who took part in the 10th Annual Live Release Fall Classic Walleye Derby to Les Corbay, who organized the derby and assembled a team of helpers to make the event the success that it was. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q255/superdad4sure/I...

Walleye Season Opening Weekend

All the plans had been made and on Friday, my Dad and son and I headed for Hay Bay. Dropped off the stuff and drove over to Merland Park to drop off some Uzick Spinners that Kevin carries. Nice to chat with Jennifer and Kevin and head to purchase gas near Desronto. We raised the dock as the waves ha...

Wellington & Browns - April 12,2014

Laker John and I arr'd at the Beach Launch at 0730 and ran into Trophy Hunter, exchanged greetings and we headed out. Started fishing at 0800, trolling west in 6 - 10 feet of water dragging stickbaits. Some of our 'Shallow' baits began hooking bottom on the lake side, must have been some rocks?????....

Re: March 16,2014 - Belleville Fishing Show & Snow and Ice..

Doug,

They were climbing perilously close to the edge, if they ever fell into the water that slippery ice would be hard to climb back on. We've heard of people falling in and getting hypothermia and not making it.

They weren't fishing.

Re: Wellington

Looks a lot clearer than when we were there a week ago Sunday, getting to the lake is a key BUT the ice build up on the shore has to go somewhere. There was a LOT of floating ice in Athol Bay, it was shore to shore, making it almost five mile wide at the largest point. We're watching it like a hawk....

March 16,2014 - Belleville Fishing Show & Snow and Ice....

Laker John and I headed to Belleville this AM for the Belleville District Fish & Game Club's Fishing Show, and it was a good show. Although we only spent 35 minutes there, we both found lures and stuff that are required for this years fishing. I was able to score some new Taildancers, Manns Stre...
