The fish are holding quite deep in 40'. I thought Pigeon Lake would be shallower.

How often/long does one hold their (fishing) rod in the 9:00 o'clock position?

Most of the time you hold it in a more of a tilt.

Amazing how the Sheephead will chase down a crankbait. I use to catch them dragging a jig/minnow by the Belleville bridge, when the water was still stained (before the zebra mussell invasion).
