Hey THanks for the offer Badger, but I just picked up the motor last night. Got the battery from Costco the night before (27 size cranking/deep cycle marine for $79! with three year warranty!) So I'm all geared up now for the electric motor. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow! Plan now is to go in th...

MID 60's Evinrude gas/oil mix??
YEP, I put this in the motor forum as well... *laughs* OK so my big question is this; I have just received an old 9.9hp (or 10?)Evinrude. It's from somewhere circa 1963-1965 or so I'd say. Great motor for sure!! Question is, what's the oil/gas mix I should be using, and what TYPE of oil should I be ...

mid 60's Evinrude gas/oil mix??
Hey gang, I may post this in the main forum too, as I've never actually looked in here before, so I don't know how much traffic it gets *laughs* OK so my big question is this; I have just received an old 9.9hp (or 10?)Evinrude. It's from somewhere circa 1963-1965 or so I'd say. Great motor for sure!...

Thanks bowzog!! How quickly was quickly?? I only ask because I really like the idea of being able to use it for other emergency times, as well as the broad range of uses (like ice fishing! and camping etc etc) and the budget at the moment definitely won't let me buy both *L* I figure on an average o...

Although I usually start workin an area with a spinnerbait to see what's out there, I generally switch to a tube for a slower presentation through weeds and obvious structure... Actually that's pretty much my pattern year round for bass *L* I love pitchin tubes or similar type baits. This year howev...

Oh yeah, I totally agree...creativity leads to success in fishing for sure... MY problem is that since I don't really know how the baits are supposed to work, I just start playing around... I think the general thing is if you KNOW how to fish your... stick baits, spoons, spinners, plastics.. etc. AN...

Well i dunno if anyone else has this exact problem.. *L* I'm in a very creative line of work, so I tend to be a creative sort of person... and then ends up enevitably working it's way into my fishing. If the bite is slow, or non-existent... Or if I'm fishing for a species I have no idea how to catch...
