No, not triple grips. I also know I can bend the existing hooks, but some of my hooks are so heavy and springy that it's easier said than done. I tried a few and had to put them in my big bench vice to hold them secure enough to get a big pair of linesman pliers on them and bend. Then they were with...

Muskie Outing:

Another muskie hunt on our local lake here and only 4 fish seen.
The four we did see were just before sundown and acted a bit weird as they'd follow lazy and then fast swipe at the baits when near the boat but no returns on figure eights or subsequent casts.
Oh well, that's Muskie for ya.

In Ontario, no owns any land that is under water.(unless it's an animal drinking pond on your property). I've heard many stories of fishermen being scared off by locals saying that the bay/stream/inlet/river is private property. But if you never touch the shore, then the law's on your side. Respect ...

Flat-back treble hooks?

Not sure what they are called, but I'm looking for somewhere that sells those treble hooks that have two of the three trebles at 180 degrees to each other. In other words, the opposing hook is at 90 degrees to the other two. I have some on a few of my muskie baits and would like to swap out some of ...

You could always stay at a place nearby and day-trip it there. I love Skootamatta and have caught many 4lb plus smallies there. Bright spinner baits were the ticket. It's a big, deep lake with lots of water to fish. Lots of large Muskie and Pike along with lake trout (a nice treat). Not a lot of fis...

Any coloured spinner (as long as it's white with silver blades...lol).
Use brightly coloured spinners and don't forget the topwater lures like buzzbaits, poppers and wobblers.

Lots of Muskie lakes:

I live ten minutes from Stoco and 30 seconds from Moira and fish them about three to four times weekly.
Fish Muskie only so I know the spots, etc.
If you need advice on Stoco, Moira or nearby, pm or e-mail me.

You should check out the Near North area of Southern Ontario from about Bancroft East to Rideau Lakes and North of them. Look all north of Kingston to the Ontario/Quebec border. Fantastic fishing on lakes that aren't TOO busy. Some are very remote feeling with good Bass, Walleye and Pike & Muski...
