Re: 2015 Ottawa Boat and Sportsman's show.

Honestly, From what I have heard, the organizers are trying to take a little of the "boat show" mentality back out of it and make it more of a sportman's show. I think I have heard they added an additional 4 fishing clubs and like in the original post, I know at least one other tackle sho...

Re: Hard water or soft?

Have you ever smashed your face doing skiing or wakeboarding....the water is not SOFT...hahahahaha. Me too, prefer on the water with the bassboat. No fishing at casting distance, I've seen that TWICE with TWO boats on at the SAME tournament....let's just say that I was boiling and maybe let out a wo...

Re: Navionics App & Community Edit

Yesterday's Navionics Boating App webinar was awesome. Some great info to optimize the use of the app. Mix that with the SonarPhone App and Vexilar T-Box and you have a very mobile sonar/GPS combination. I was able to connect my T-Box to my phone in less than 30 seconds.

Re: Fishing the back of the boat

My partner brings a bag of that size with no issue on my bassboat but it is still big. I prefer when he just brings his trays. Try not to bring items that your parnter already has to minimize the weight. Ask him what NOt to bring like cisors, line for leaders, don't bring all your weights (like drop...

Re: live bait in hull

Yes Paul. He means Hull, Quebec. It think he is talking about a general store on Jacques Cartier or Fournier rd. I never went but that is the place (heard about it). As Paul states, it is now illegal to fish with live bait.

Re: What line do you use ice fishing?

10lbs for perch and walleye looks like way over kill for ice fishing. I brought a 4lbs bass on a 4lbs fluo. I love the light lines during winter. I only jig from hole to hole.

Re: Cabela's

BPS said on twitter that planning for 2016 (looks fishy since it was suppose to be at the start of 2015). Cabelas will have half the size of it's legacy stores 70 000 square feet instead of 150 000. But since they don't carry lots of our equipment, I'll continue will the smaller stores that we have....
