I caught a 10lb laker and many others on 31 Mile Lake with a medium white big O behind a gang troll. And lots of bass.
Good lure for sure!

Free to park at the Portland Launch and there's a dock to tie your boat to once launched so that you can get out of your boat and park your vehicle.

Might be a good idea to install a hidden hunting camera to see if we could possibly nab the S.O.B.

Re: Walleye Spot Recomendation
Shirley's bay always produces, you can launch from the Nepean Sailing Club of Carling ave. at Dick Bell Park for a small fee and head up to haycock/Aylmer Island and just drift back bouncing a jig off bottom or trolling minnow baits. Find the weed edges and work those.
Good luck

Re: Shirleys bay winter access onto the river
Let's not forget we're dealing with a Municipal organization. It clearly sounds that moving "1" boulder will surely be too much to ask for. Instead of encouraging local outdoor activity it seems that bureaucratic hurdles always seem to trump local sportsman and or outdoors enthusiasts. Sam...

Not too many contributors to this posting Lol but you can try Victoria Island, besides Rideau Falls if you go down to the rocks just left of the falls, Hogs Back near the canoe club and opposite. Various over passes on the Jock River, Dow's Lake near Carleton U. try some Gulp minnows, leeches and va...

Re: Early Season Brookies in Algonquin
Depending on the ice situation we're planning on the end of April. Trout season opens on the weekend of the 19 th this year. With moderate success in the past I'm/we're debating on possibly delaying until mid May my reasoning is the bugs would be out and the fish more active. Any info on success rat...

Early Season Brookies in Algonquin
Good day all, Planning a Canoe trip in Algonquin Park early season for some Brookies accessing the park through Brent side rd. to Cedar lake. I've been several times fishing in the Carl Wilson Lake area with moderate success and would welcome any suggestions for different lakes to try in the area. T...
