Re: Eastern Ontario Walleye (Zone 18)

I don't mean to be a party pooper, but in FMZ18 those fish in the photos are obviously outside of the slot-size (40 to 50 cm) for retention. I understand that you released them, but the reg's state they must be IMMEDIATELY released and photos can't be taken...certainly not "posing" with th...

Re: Quebec Salmon and trout

Those are very healthy looking Lakers ! I'm jealous, still another couple weeks before I can get after them on my lake.
Curious what the water temps were like, how deep were you fishing, and what they were biting (same as first post) ? Thanks, always trying to learn something new..

Re: Kingston lake trout

Way to go ! Nice job...especially handling a boat, a manual rigger, and fish all by yourself on the big lake..
That's an incredible fishery.

Re: The Stanley Cup of Bass Fishing.... The Bassmaster Classic

Yeah, Gussy is the quintessential Canadian Bass angler. Fishes out of an aluminum boat, when most of the guys on the tour are floating in glass...more often than not, he has a spinning rod in his hand, rather than a baitcaster... he wears his best "dinner jacket" during the tourney...and l...

Re: Steelhead fishing southern Ontario.

The mild temps and liquid precip have kept a lot of the local tribs open this winter. Steelhead have been staging the last few weeks, and the conditions (except for a few blow-out days with chocolate milk) have been great. If the trend continues, it'll be an early spawn this year..

Re: Petrie Island Sunday

Appreciate the report, thanks for posting.
I've considered getting a camera myself, but I've come to the conclusion that it's just going to make me even more frustrated than ever. I'm already pulling my hair out when I see " hooks" on the sonar and I can't get them to bite.
