Re: First Open Water Trip

Mike P, I guess one has to be careful what they wish for (eg. a loooong ice fishing season). I got almost 7 weeks on the hardwater in my region. I can't imagine what almost 5 months of ice fishing would look like. I've never had to add an extension to an auger either. Came close in Ottawa the 2005/2...

First Open Water Trip

Well it wasn't a great trip by anyone's standards, but we were casting and catching a few fish instead of drilling holes, trudging through snow, battling frostbite, and wearing way too many layers of clothes :-). We were mostly targeting panfish and would accept the random Bass or Walleye, but we sa...

Re: Coldest winter in 30 years...but some HOT fishing.

Great diversity as always, RJ and the spice to life. My favorite pic though is the beastly looking Pumpkinseed  :) very cool! I'm hearing through channels you still have around 3 ft. of ice around your region? I guess that would equate to the coldest winter in 30 years!

Re: HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Talk about a hard server crash....holy smokes! I have to admit to some serious withdrawal over the last month! I'm glad you are back FH, even if it's limping along at a snails pace.

How have you been Bunk and everyone? Catchin' anything?

Well RJ, at least, you have the Superbowl eating tradition locked in with the food smorgasbord 8) ...looks good! I don't think Dropshot'r and other Pittsburgh fans are too happy with the outcome today though. By the way, the Crappie in your picture looks more the size of a plate...what girth! Tear '...
