Droeun...if you've never used the Speedy Sharp before then I'd be cautious trying your sharpening skills on your Jiffy Auger blades.....a new set of blades will cost you $40 and save you the aggravation of being out on the ice only to find that your jiffy doesn't cut worth a crap because you touched...

Just go with the amigos as they are die hard ice fisherman and you know them inside and out from softwater fishing with them....you'll learn everything you are asking about it's a no brainer to me

Gas augers usually come on sale the week before Christmas. I've bought 3 in the last 4 years.... as for other fishing items, I can't comment. They do put ice fishing items on for sale but usually in the Spring.....I've seen gas augers on sale for $200 less than the normal price when these sales do come out...... I bought my Frabil shelter from CTC in the spring at 50% off......if ya snooze ya lose though :wink: I was there way before they...
