This sounds like it might be fun. Finally got some vacation and I get next week off. Is there still room to go to the meet and greet? It would be my 13 year old son and myself. I asked Mr. J to come with me if his wife couldn't make it. If not, it will be just the two of us. Now is there anything I ...

I get my insurance from Rhodes & Williams. They specialize in marine insurance. My premium costs $550 a year and covers me for 2 million liability, theft and fire on land (while trailering) and on water. It also covers for all perils on water which means if I hit a log or rocks and damage the bo...

No problem Mr.J. I've been stopped once this year and the only thing I was asked for was the life jackets and my ownership. And of course, they asked if there was any alcohol on board. I guess sometimes they look at the boat and figure everything is OK if it's a newer looking vessel. Who knows :roll...

Joco,

It happened to me a few of weeks ago. Caught a small walleye while fishing a Pop 'R" for bass on Taylor lake. Couldn't believe it either. :? I guess if they're hungry enough, they'll hit anything.

Quite a number of years ago my brother and I got zapped while fishing on Lac Poisson Blanc in Quebec. We were bass fishing in Simon Bay when a storm came up real quick. We didn't have a motor on our 12' alluminum boat so we were just oaring it. We made it to shore but on the opposite side of the cot...

Hi Pat, Those new color fishfinders are just amazing. The detail is superb. You can actually see fish arches, schools of bait fish and the cannon balls tracking. And by adjusting the sensativity, you can see the thermocline. If someone is thinking of upgrading, I deffinately recommend the color grap...

Big Rideau Lakers Report (pics)

Headed out to Big Rideau with Lost Leader today. Got on the lake around 6:30 AM. Was quite muggy even though it was early. We did our set up and started fishing. It was pretty quiet for a while. Finally had a fish on but got off half way to the boat. A short while after another one hit and and we bo...
