Hey Problem is I'm a lefty and The revo winch is the only left handed reel that comes with a 5:4:1 gear ratio....that I've been able to find. Do I have any alternatives to a winch? Take a look at a bow mount tiller. I've been using one for a long time and love it. Excellent control with one of the available extension handles. You can rig a small foot on/off switch. A friend of mine owns Whitefish Lodge on Heney and I have spent a lot of time on the lake. It is wicked for bass and has some very good laker fishing but the pike are only so-so, nothing really huge. I run a Minn Kota bow mount tiller handle. 55lb thrush 12V.
I find the control, for me, to be better than cable or electronic steering.
