Eating cats

As the saying goes, I like cats but I can't eat a whole one, who eats channel cats out of the Ottawa River, say, up about Constance Bay. I must have thrown back a gazillion catfish without considering keeping one for the table. However, with the increasing culinary appreciation of these bottom feede...

Re: Quebec Reds

Not to go off topic, but it's a Mitchell 330 circa 1975 with the finger-touch automatic bail release. Got a dozen of em. I buy em on e-bay.

Re: Quebec Reds

All this rain is barring me from getting to my normal Quebec Red lake, so here's a pic from earlier. A couple of15 inchers.

Re: Quebec Reds

YES !!! You found 'em buddy!! THAT is a true Quebec Red Trout aka landlocked arctic char. Beauty catch!!

Doesn't look like a brook trout at all does it.

I bet the ice went off that lake about 4 days before you caught it.

satellite imaging

I was wondering if anybody knows of any real-time (or close to it) local satellite imaging on the web?

I'd like to keep track of the ice-out on my favourite lakes.

Re: Jawjacker legal in Ontario?

Somewheres back they must have modified the regulations, 'cause they used to be illegal.

Never have seen the explanation as detailed as you've presented, and they sure snuck them in.

Re: bay of quinte

I was there Monday and Tuesday.

8" of ice where we were fishing and open water 100 ' away. It'll be thinner with this rain and warm temps.

Always be safe.

They eat jigged lures and minnows.

I see you've been saving up for the big time fishing trips. Which of those exotics tasted best?

Love the specs. Congrats on the PB. It's a beauty.
