If you want to catch lots of big carp, I would have to say the best place in the area would be around Long Sault, it's between cornwall and morrisburg on the St. Lawrence river. Unofrtunatly, I am not experienced in carp fishing either so I couldn't tell you if the are still biting this time of year...

Hey Bobber,
A little off topic, but nice boat...
Mind sharing the model, and your pro's and con's on the boat for all purpose fishing?

Thanks,

Nice picture, I guess I need to find some Mock Walleye baits to try now.... Not too condone such behavior but when I was a wee little lad, we would occcasionally take our time reeling in the perch in hopes of catching a nice pike like that... Not sure if that would have been permitted 18 years ago o...

as already mentioned many times, go by boat rating, I have a 14'6' Aluminum troller, but it's a very wide boat with deep v hull, and very heavy, but it's rated to 40 HP,

If your referring to an aluminum "row" boat which may not have a rating, I wouldn't go over 9.9Hp.

Awsome photo's Moose,
I think learning to take photo's like that would be awsome, especially after looking at those pictures.
I'm a photography "hack" aim, shoot, and get what I need in there....

I assume you use a fairly high end SLR?

thanks for sharing,

I've fished White lake a ton the past 2 years, and have only encountered 2 pike that I would even consider "big" and that's relativly speaking for that lake. I would approximate they were abou 5 - 6 lbs or so, which from my understanding is big for that lake. In all honesty, I was going to...

Awsome..... It only takes one to get you hooked.... I havn't actually caught a musky yet myself, but when I was younger I caught a 20lb northern, and since then I have been hooked on catching any and all large "toothy critters" great stuff, now that you broke the ice, gotta aim for that 50...
