I like my quickfish III. Not as fast to set up as a flipover, but I get to the spot a lot faster because I'm not dragging 80lbs behind me. I also like being able to stand up every so often.

The one time I made it out that way it was all shoulder to shoulder and treble hooks with lead wrapped around them. Good to see you guys found some seclusion.

Use a larger slip float!
Or you can check out the polaris line of floats. They're marketed towards carp anglers but I've successfully used them with live bait for all kinds of fish.

Personally, I'm not a fan of it. I find it doesn't cast as well as power pro and tends to dig into itself. That's my experience, but I've only ever used the 30lb tuf-line.
