Tim Most of the area that is discussed above is in the Ottawa Valley area andis composed of private and crown land with very large tracks of bush. I am making the asumption that you are in the windsor chatham area nd the land base is a bit different. But i agree in that we need several factors to co...

I am going to suggest it would have to be the management of the deer from a habitat and human stand point i dont think predator managament will have the effect we all would like. It has been proven time and time again that coyotes/wolves will adapt to hunting and trapping presure. I think the most r...

I dont think we could ever knock the wolf/coyote population down enought that it would have a big benifit for the deer. I think have to focus on hoping the winter is an easy winter on deer, and maybe look at what agriculture and foresty practices we have on the landscape that will benifit deer and o...

I have used them with success for walleye, white fish and lake trout. I have tipped them with a minnow head on the bottom hook for walleye but just run them bare for lake trout and white fish. I have also used them in the open water season for lake trout and white fish so make sure you throw one in ...

I have a bow mount and a 60 hp Yamaha Tiller on a 16'6" Lund and about the only thing I use my electric motor for now is working a shoreline while casting. My Yamaha has the troll down feature and can back troll and stay vericle over a jig or bottom bouncer and work cranks very slow along shore...

What horespower are you looking to put on the boat.

With a tiller boat the max hp is generally what you will want on the boat or you will be disapointed.

The last thing that you want is a slug with you and a buddy in the boat witha all your gear.

While deer numbers are down from previous years i think our winter has had the greatest impact on the deer. I hope we have a mild winter and we will see bambi start to recover. We need to do our part and thin out a few wolves and coyotes now to help them out. I think the rut is just getting going i ...
