Re: Minn Kota quick release bracket
Thanks for the pics! Although it wouldn't work for the lock area I was talking about, I could easily use one of these for the thumb screw in the middle of the unit. That's exactly where mine is, the thumb screw hole. Had it originally on my Lowrance on the dash but put it on the motor while it's in...

Re: Minn Kota quick release bracket
I've got 2 holes that line up also, the interior hole is threaded and the screw goes into the black piece, and threads (as tight as you can) into the hole, then the lock cap goes over it all and locks up with a key. Not enough exposed space to get bolt cutters behind it, and the lock cylinder (red p...

I'm using the fish finder lock opposed to the motor lock they show in the trolling motor section, I'll take a pic when I get home

Re: Minn Kota quick release bracket
This is what I'm using, it comes with several different mounting screws, one of them should fit your bracket (it did on my Power drive V2)

Re: Any 10+ lb fish spots in Ottawa?
Search for some carp spots, most slow moving water will have them, that's your best chance for a shore based 10 lb + fish. Might be some guys that are a bit more local to the area than me that can point you in the right direction

Re: Bancroft Bass Tournament Series
Thanks for the feedback. We've got a trailer in the area, might be able to do two of the tournaments this year due to prior commitments (probably only one though) the 5 hour drive home on a Sunday night would be the biggest stumbling block for us (after fishing 7-3pm) since I've already booked my va...

Bancroft Bass Tournament Series
Has anyone here fished this small series or have any experience with it. I'm considering a couple of the dates for this summer.

Re: Sharbot lake - elbow lake
You may be thinking of Elbow outside of Parham? There is an Elbow Lake connected to Sharbot at the NE corner of Sharbot. I haven't done it in years, but we used to boat into Elbow. It does get quite shallow and is rocky where you cross under the bridge into Elbow. That's the one I was thinking of, ...

Re: Drifting for Lakers on the Niagara River
Nicely done! Grew up on the banks of the upper Niagara and have fished just about every inch between Fort Erie and Queenston from shore. My pb walleye, musky, Chinook, coho, and Rainbow are all from the lower river either from the whirlpool, the glen, queenston, or the Maid of the Mist (when you wer...

Re: Sharbot lake - elbow lake
Elbow and Sharbot lakes are not connected, it's probably a 15 minute drive at the most between them along hwy 38
