Re: Is this a "Tiger Muskie"?
Odd pattern, but not a Tiger Muskie, as they typically have dark marks on a light background. Yours has light marks on a dark background. Could be a hybrid Northern Pike / Grass Pickerel, but it has quite similiar appearance to the Esox cisalpinus (European) https://www.fishbase.in/FieldGuide/FieldG...

Re: river access question
No issue on the launch. Sometimes issues further up the streams with adjacent landowners. Fences across, bridges, that you can't pass under. To continue, you would have to trespass. On the larger creeks - not an issue. Navigable waterways - etc

Re: Sonar with Navionics plus and downscan.
DSI is much higher frequency than "regular" 200/83khz, with increased detail/resolution. I recommend you get a unit that can do both DSI and "regular" sonar, eg the "split shot". DSI does not show fish very well, but when used together, DSI helps to differentiate weeds ...

Re: Lake Opeongo August Lake Trout Help - Tips and Suggestio
Good to know as we were planning for a 3 to 4 hour canoe! I'm definitely going to get some baitprotek baits.... The est time required is due to the paddling distance by staying close to shore. If you have no wind, you could do it in 3-4 hours by cutting a straight line. Depending on which sit...

Re: Lake Opeongo August Lake Trout Help - Tips and Suggestio
It's approx 5-6 hour canoe in from the Outfitter to Annie Bay in good conditions. Wind conditions will dictate, could be significantly longer if windy.
Yes, there are Lake Trout in Annie Bay.
As for the Baitprotek... sounds like it was invented by someone with a PHD.
Pile it higher, deeper. Lol
