When I bring my daughter out I use a micro tube jig! Pan fish have no problem taking it and with the little weight on it makes it a bit easier to cast!

How I missed how fast people can get all up in arms on this site! Stanger is doing the right thing by researching and like him I am also going back to sitting on the side lines casting lines...and not tournament fish in my little 12ft with no livewell lol

Funny how the locals who complain about fish being killed are the ones responsible for the walleye decline in those lakes.... Stress, miss handling, lures and pollution are all part of it and sadly a part of fishing.... there is no easy answer but research and better practices and techniques such as...

The big ones are not where they where last year! Think late spawn..... low water levels...water temp high.... and throw in some cold fronts! Took me a few outings but found them!

Just clarify about the stumps in Clayton/Taylor, Yes they are old but let me assure you that they are all Not soft!! I have had my 9.9 jump up many many times! Unless you are very familiar with the channels be cautious!

For walleye on the Rideau White cranks or jerkbaits work but I mostly use livetargets yellow perch! As for musky White is a good color! Or big bucktails that have black hair with either silver or orange blades work best for me!
