There are certain fish that are amazing. This is one of them knowing roughly where it came from. From the size and of course the colors, just amazing!!

Re: Downrigger rod and reel advice
Rj's right about letting the line out..
If you plan on rigging lakers on inland lakes like Big R, skrat etc.. I think guys use far to heavy rods for the size of the fish. I have two set ups for the lakers .. 8'6 clarus rods and st croix river runners that are 9fters I believe! Wicked rods

A different kind of opener
This years bass opener was a little more silver than usual. Even though Tony and I knew that fishing reports were sketchy at best coming out of lake Ontario, we talked ourselves into the fact that the fish have to show up sooner than later, so why not this past Saturday? Started double thinking ours...

Re: Bucketmouth VS Bronzeback
I love them both.. Fish them both differently and they are both equally fun. With that being said there's something about dropshotting that reminds me of drifting the Niagara river drifting which I love.... tick tick tick!!!!

Re: Spinning Rods? who uses them still???
Use them for Dropshot, tubes, jerkbaits, texas rigged senkos, and like Pete, sometimes it just feels so right throwing small cranks with them!
How someone could drop a spinning set up from their arsenal blows my mind!
