I could be wrong but I am assuming the NCC does not allow people to fish there due to safety reasons as well as they are preparing for the canal to open.

Rusty Hook
Alright..no matter what I do I always end up with somewhat rusty hooks. Most of the time they are not even used ! Is there something to bring them back to there original condition?
I was thinking soaking them in CLR or Coke?
What do you guys do?

I am all about muskrat. I love that place but never do well for the trout. I have seen them circling below the ice with no avail . With that being said it is directly off a major higway and usualy produces good consistent ice. For that reason I will say muskrat . Oh and my PB Laker is from there. John

Ever ice fished Georgian Bay?
Well this winter I want to make a point of fishing somewhere different. I was thinking either Lake simcoe for some whitie's and Lakers . Then I noticed that Georgian Bay is not that far off . Anybody know if there is a decent amount of trout in the bay? Does it freeze enough to make it safe? I would...

Nice looking boat. A heard that some of the Stingers and Scorpions had an issue with the front digging in while turning. This is only hear-say and not factual. Just thought I would let you know.

Muskrat Launching Options
I usualy launch out of Cobden but was curious if there was a launch further down the road. I know we access the ice at the end of waterview and looks like there might even be a launch there. Can anybody confirm this? It will save us alot of time since we will be in a smaller boat

Dan, If you trim up a bit it will always run off the end of the cavitation plate in a predictable manner . Did you change the filter? I find that to be the messiest on some models !

I am by no means an expert when it comes to smallies but dont let water temp stop you! These fish know that winter is around the corner and are feeding heavily . Its all about presentation . Last week I was getting smallies on a suspended jerk bait. I had to pause for 30 seconds before they would hi...

Quinte Smallmouth any good?
Alright so everybody heads to Quinte this time of year for the BIG EYE's . I have never been and would like to fish the deseronto area for smallmouth. Is it worth my 3 hour drive? Are the smallies active this time of year in the area?
