Looks awesome.
Would it work using aircraft cable or closeline wire instead of rope?
I don't have a canoe setup or anything, but I definitely have an inane ability to get hooks caught in ropes.

Re: Stoplight Spoon for Lake Trout
Not sure. I will be keeping my eye on this thread... old standby lure are always worth a look. A quick googled search brought up this one called the traffic light colour http://www.lenthompson.com/uploads/1/5/7/0/15708726/7712143_orig.jpg Which looks good. Those colour combos are very perch like. I ...

Re: Requesting Feedback on Swim Baits
I have seen lakers and smallmouth and most other fish regurgitate an awful lot of things, so I don't know how they can't regurgitate some plastic bits. The only way to know if it is affecting fish would be to wait for them to die, somehow finding them and checking their stomachs. Killing a healthy f...

Re: Muskrat Lake
I wouldn't let a tournament going on dictate where I fished.
There is lots of fish in Muskrat lake.
Key in on drop offs in 10 to 25 feet of water, drop shot or jig... Or just watch what the tournament guys do... If they pinch you off a spot, it's a good one:-)

Re: Lake Champlain Impressions...CnR Bass Fishing.
Looks like a good trip. As for the C&R season... Scientific study is always good. Ontario cancelled the spring bear hunt years ago due to political pressure and zero scientific info to argue the cancellation. They are slowly bringing it back because studies show that it is needed in a management...

Re: What would you like to see?
I am not really sure what what is a possibility. I know that what brought me to FishHawk back in 2002 was the gallery of pictures of 'local' people with fish in spots that I had fished. I almost had to explain what a musky was to most people... But here, there were hundreds of pictures of Fishhawk a...

Cool. Good to know. Unfortunately, I don't have that boat anymore... Although I do still have the lower unit and prop. I will probably list it for sale, I wonder if repair shops buy used parts...

Great rig NMG. I have been looking at that same model on websites. If you could let me know where you bought it (PM me if you want) it might help my search. Unfortunately aluminum boats seem to have gone up 50% in price.

Re: Spring Catfish
I have never caught a channel cat in the Rideau between Burritts and Ottawa, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. They would most likely be near current. The Ottawa river has catfish. When the bays and creeks warm up a bit the bullheads will be there. I never seem to make it out until late April...
