Cool stuff Peron. I recall catching one in quite while targeting cats when I was about 11 years old. It was quite a fight.

I know the soup will never burn as long as Bassaddict is around. Always stirring the pot.
Nice Walleye Kevin!!!
This report is only lacking one thing. Well one of two things. We need some sunfire or 3 wheeler to make it a true Paul and Kevin report.

Re: Since Shallow Walleye are Trending
:-) Let's just agree those are nice eyes, and a little smaller on the "dandy scale". I am 100% certain we will see more dandies grace the gunnels of your rig by clients and yourself. You certainly have your home waters figured out and your fishing success increases at a steady rate on an a...

Re: A Spring So Far From TROUT to GAR!!!
Bunk.. that was one hell of a day on your boat with slop. There's no issue between you and I, as you stated. You've done no wrong to me, nor I to you. The gar wars do not concern me and I take no sides in it. Yes the individual you speak of and myself are close friends, but the issues between you tw...

Re: A Spring So Far From TROUT to GAR!!!
Bunk. No one is feeding into my reply other then myself, that I can assure you. The gar wars is long dead amongst others, and is never dicussed, until a gar report like this comes up. It's not hard to see the point you are making from your report. People who know the history of the gar wars will rea...

Re: I had a huge... Something!
Chances are it was a sturgeon, but It could have been a log/tree being pushed by the current. Hung up on a rock, freed itself, continued floating with the current.
If I were you, I would tell myself it was a log, and I did not just lose the biggest fish of my life.

Re: Fishing Out Front the Shaq
Nice bucket, and buckets dude.
Those houses are just ridiculous.
Never heard those big headed, small bodied fish called "razorbacks" before, but it's perfectly fitting.
That's for the detailed report.
And I thought minnows were expensive here.

Re: Flouro leaders Just Curious
I use braid/fluoro for almost all inland applications. Some exceptions but It helps significantly in clear water.
If you run a braid/fluoro combo, keep in mind your drag should be set a little on the lighter side. Hooksets don't need to be as swift as with a full mono or fluoro system either.

Re: A Spring So Far From TROUT to GAR!!!
That's boat is pretty pimpin for a "second boat"... Nice Job Bunk. The fish aren't too bad either. Not sure about all the negative talk about the gar fishing, but I I can read between the lines. Just because you're seeing people in the shallows doesn't mean they're fishing gar. I would als...

Those are some serious numbers of walleye for that lake Brian, especially given the conditions.
Kudos to you for braving out the conditions and succeeding.

Re: Calicos and Greasers.....
Just another few days in the lund bud. Those crappies are unreal, and the lakers.. well you know as well as I do. You made the right call. The most impressive part of this report is the fact that the ole fella held out so long in that dead heat Saturday. That was some hot out there with no breeze. K...
