:(
I really goofed up 2 years ago! I spent a month getting all my gear eady for 2 weeks of great fishing in Ontario, had everything layed out and ready to pack. When the day came I loaded up the truck and headed 950 miles north from the states, only to find out when I got up there that I had left all my Fishing Reels sitting on the kitchen table in thier bag! Thanks to a quick drive back into Thunder Bay I was able to purchase some new ones and save the trip! Now I actually have back-ups for my back-ups!

As a last minuit guest on a friends boat about 5 years ago I did't dress properly and the weather turned cold and rainy while we were miles out. I froze sooooo bad , I turned so blue and it took me hours to stop shivering. I was never so happy to make it back to a warm truck
I will never do that again

Thanks Wolf

:D

I have been reading the message board from over by Thunder Bay for sometime but I find this board much more friendly and a heck of alot more informative. It seems like the people on the other one do not like to share information, even with other Canadians! In the short time I have been reading some of the postings on here I have gotten a wealth of information about some new fishing styles and have seen some nice pictures on here also. In all my 20 years plus of coming up to Ontario fishing I have never gone for Brook (Speckle)Trout. That is something I plan on doing this year and had been trying to get some information and tactics to use from the other board, but have not been having luck. Here on this one I have found out not only what lures and baits to use, but also colors they like and how to use them. For all of you that read this and have put postings on here, I thank you for all the good help.

not such a LostFisherman anymore!

Number one no no for me - forgetting the camera or not having batteries for it. When you forget the camera - that's the time you are really gonna need it for some reason - personal best bass? perhaps you stumble upon a nudist colony?

Number two no no - not being prepared with proper accessories and clothing - gotta have a hat, polaroid sunglasses, sunscreen and bug spray. Nothing spoils a day like being too hot or too cold or in need of a blood transfusion when there are none around for miles.

Number three no no - Ya have to have a supply of band-aids or dressings in the boat. In the least you need to have a good supply of super-absorbant socks and electrical tape to dress wounds with... as expertly demonstrated by yours truly after a bull-head ripped my palm open - OUCHHHH! Wiggly little bugger!
